If you love hiking and the great outdoors, Mount Kilimanjaro is the perfect place to celebrate your 50th Birthday!
David from Edinburgh decided to do exactly that in January this year, and so he contacted us to arrange a Private Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro Expedition for himself, his wife Deanna, and their good friends Michelle, Martin and Roger, that would see him reach Uhuru Peak on his milestone birthday.
To make their trip even more memorable, David and Deanna decided on a short Safari to Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater before their climb, and to relax and unwind afterwards, they, along with Martin and Michelle, headed to the sugar white beaches of Zanzibar for a few days of rest and relaxation at the luxurious 5* Melia Zanzibar All Inclusive Resort.

A fabulous trip amongst fabulous scenery and with fabulous people. Frank and his team are a particular credit to Kilimanjaro Company.
I won’t say that it was an easy ascent, but the whole support team ensured that it was much easier and enjoyable than would otherwise been the case. Pole Pole has now become my post-50 mantra!
The safari and Zanzibar elements were also very well put together …. Ngorongoro was simply spectacular! Please pass on my thanks to all involved.
Now back to work to pay for the next trip! Mt Kenya looks tempting.
