There are many reasons to climb Mount Kilimanjaro – you might want to test your personal limits, or you could do it to raise money for your favourite charity, but if you want to mark a milestone birthday in style, Africa’s highest mountain could be the perfect place to do it!
During our recent 7-Day Machame Route Total Lunar Eclipse Expedition, one of our group, Bianca from Germany, celebrated her 27th Birthday, and our mountain crew went above and beyond to ensure she had a memorable day.
Our delicious 3-course evening meal was followed by a freshly baked Birthday Cake (complete with icing!), a Bottle of Bubbly, which our over enthusiastic waiter decided to spray all over us, and lots of singing and dancing from our fantastic crew.
Christmas, New Year, Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Honeymoons, Anniversaries and Birthdays are so much better at 5,895m above sea-level, so why not do something special this year, and Climb Kilimanjaro with a friend, with a loved one, or with a group of international travellers from across the globe!
